Why I love UD/Why I Recruit Students for UD: The student experience at the University of Dallas offers everything I enjoyed or would have preferred to have from my own collegiate journey. Those desiring to be academically motivated, rooted in Catholic Western tradition, and pushed toward further success in their field of interest will find all the resources they need in a UDallas education. This school offers an experience where students can enjoy the wisdom, virtue, and truth emphasized in their classes, as well as make those formative college memories that will inspire them to share their stories for years to come.

Favorite Spot on Campus: The Church of the Incarnation

Where Do You Hang Out in Dallas?: Half Price Books East of University Park, most likely buying CD’s and records I don’t need.

Favorite Book: I enjoy many books for different reasons. The two I’m enjoying at the moment are Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry and Moby Dick by Herman Melville.

Favorite Place to Eat in DFW: Goldee’s BBQ or Terilli’s

Favorite UD Event: Groundhog

Favorite/Coolest Place I have Visited: The Big Bend area of West Texas! I have family that came from Marathon and Terlingua, so visiting the quiet and beautiful desert landscape reminds me of a home I never had.

Advice to Prospective Students: Every college experience is unique in what it offers, but I believe it’s important for any student to find value in the academic, personal, and spiritual opportunities that can be pursued at their school of choice. With the influential Core Curriculum, the exciting study abroad semester in Rome, and the vibrant Catholic faith, all of these characteristics are foundational for every undergraduate program present at the University of Dallas. If these pillars are important for you in finding a home in your college pursuits, then I believe the UD experience is the perfect place to begin that next step in your journey.
