Every day, our MBA students and faculty discover new ways to transform ideas into actions to create a better future. Of our graduate population, 85 percent are full-time working professionals, and almost half manage staff in the workplace.
Our dynamic faculty and our commitment to practice-based education helps produce students who can innovate for corporations, create solutions to customer needs, generate profits and increase shareholder return on investment. These solutions have funded the development of new products and services to fuel company growth.
The program provides a cost-effective solution for corporations, non-profits, and governments that lack the time, budget, or human resources to address specific strategic initiatives. Consulting projects are carried out by teams of students working under the supervision of advisers with extensive consulting and project management experience.
Capstone projects are completed during a 12-week period in either the fall, spring or summer. Below is a typical timeline:
Phase | Details |
---|---|
Phase I (before the semester begins) | Professor meets with the client to go over the parameters and cost of the project. |
Phase II | Professor assigns students to the project. Each team of students elects a team leader and assigns other roles as necessary. |
Phase III | The team of students meets with their client to understand the client’s needs. |
Phase IV | The team writes up a project proposal or scope of work to ensure that the client and team both understand the deliverables to be presented at the end of the 12 weeks. |
Phase V | The team works on their project with the guidance and feedback of the professor. |
Phase VI | The team presents their report to the client. |

Yes. There is a nominal charge considering the number of hours our very qualified
professors and talented students put into the client project.
Are there any requirements for starting a Capstone project with the university?
Yes. For the Capstone, we look for a project that is strategic, has many complex parts,
provides the client with actionable information and will provide our MBA students
with a challenging learning experience.
How soon can we begin on my project?
Capstones are generally booked at least one semester in advance.
Will our confidential business information be protected?
Yes. Maintaining confidentiality of your proprietary information is an important aspect
of our work with your organization during the Capstone project. Nondisclosure agreements
are available for the student teams to sign as requested.
