The standard for practice-based education.
The MBA program at the University of Dallas is unique because it provide students
a practice-based graduate education. In each course, students learn key business concepts
through experiential projects and assignments. Our philosophy of understanding how
to take action on what we learn is just as important as learning the concept.
The culminating course of our MBA program is known as The Capstone Consulting Experience. Student teams spend 12 weeks researching and developing solutions on a real problem
for a local, national or international organization. Teams then present their findings
and recommendations to the client at the end of the semester. Unlike a case study
or fictional project that most MBA programs focus on, UD students gain real experience.
It is not uncommon for a client to be so impressed by a project that they offer some
students a job. Since 1973, every MBA student at the University of Dallas has participated
in a Capstone Consulting project and is the highlight of the MBA experience for many
students.
Our MBA program equips students with the skills to become competent and responsible
managers who are also principled and moral leaders. We have over 17,000 alumni comprised
of CEOs, vice presidents and founders of firms around the world.
Associate Professor Scott Wysong is the director of the MBA program and has taught

and MBA in marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor’s degree
